From Realism to Flat: The Spectrum of Artistic Illustration Styles

Using the same reference image as an anchor, this is a spectrum experiment on "degree of stylization" with the reference-image guidance capability of qwen-image-3.0-pro: the reference image provides the subject, composition, and light-and-shadow relationships, while the prompt is responsible only for gradually pushing the visual language from realistic volume toward flat geometry. In terms of composition, the reference image is a still-life scene photo with a clear subject and foreground/background layering, and the output is fixed at 1:1 and 2K so that brushstroke density, color-block boundaries, and the degree of detail abstraction can be compared within the same frame. It is suitable for illustration style exploration, multi-style proposals for brand visuals, and batch production workflows that need to quickly derive flat illustration assets from photos—combined with a fixed seed and prompt_extend disabled, the style gradient becomes reproducible.

Prompt

Try this model
An illustration guided by a reference image, in a restrained flat-design style: retain the subject and composition of the reference image but simplify them into clean geometric silhouettes, use a limited palette dominated by warm earth tones with two accent colors, replace gradients with hard-edged shadow color blocks, simplify textures and reduce internal detail, achieve a printed-poster texture with visible paper grain, balanced negative space, square 1:1 composition, high-resolution clarity, without pursuing photo-level realism or heavy rendering
