Agent Tools

Entry point for connecting Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes, Pi, Cherry Studio, Trae, WorkBuddy, and DeepSeek Harness to HiAPI.

This section explains how to connect common agent tools to HiAPI text models. Start with Get an API Key, then configure the tool you use.

Before you start

  • Get an API Key: create a key in the console and have it ready before you connect.
  • Base URL & protocols: the URL differs by protocol, and a wrong one usually returns 404 right away.
  • Node.js setup: Claude Code, Codex CLI, Pi and DeepSeek Harness all need it first.
  • CC Switch install and one-click import: set up Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode without editing config files.
  • Common errors: 401, 404, 429 and other errors any tool can hit, plus why you should check the request log before retrying.
