PixVerse V6 vs Kling 3.0: How to Choose Between Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video?

If you want 8 aspect ratios, 5 style presets, and a lower 720p price, choose PixVerse V6; if you want 4K, first-and-last-frame dual-image input, and longer prompts, choose Kling 3.0. Both use POST /v1/tasks on HiAPI, and switching only requires changing model and the input fields.

A 5-second 720p silent clip costs $0.3225 on PixVerse V6 and $0.50 on Kling 3.0 at the same tier; 1080p silent clips cost $0.645 on both. Kling 3.0 adds a 4K tier at $2.395 for 5 seconds.

For text-to-video, PixVerse V6's 8 aspect ratios cover 21:9 widescreen, 4:3, and 2:3 vertical, making it suitable for producing multiple placements at once; Kling 3.0 offers only 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1, but reserves 4K for large screens and post-production cropping. For image-to-video, PixVerse V6 accepts one first frame, while Kling 3.0 can also take a last frame, using two images to lock the start and end points.

Same Prompt, Same Parameters Comparison

The first set uses text-to-video with identical prompts and parameters: 16:9, 5 seconds, 720p, audio enabled.

PixVerse V6 Kling 3.0
Cinematic slow dolly push-in across a windswept coastal cliff at golden hour. Tall grass ripples in the sea breeze, waves crash against dark rocks far below, warm low sunlight rakes across the scene. The camera glides forward steadily toward the cliff edge, revealing a wide ocean horizon. Shallow depth of field, gentle lens flare, realistic film grain, soft natural ambience of wind and distant surf.

Generate with this prompt →

With the same prompt, PixVerse V6 starts on the grassy slope and only brings the ocean horizon into frame after the camera moves over the grass; Kling 3.0 puts the horizon in the upper half of the frame from the start, keeps the rocks and waves on the right in frame throughout, and ends with larger waves. Both return 1280×720, 5-second files with an audio track.

The second set uses image-to-video with the same first frame and parameters: 5 seconds, 720p, audio enabled.

PixVerse V6 Kling 3.0
Slow, steady cinematic push-in toward the cabin. Mist drifts low across the lake and the water ripples gently. The pines sway in a soft breeze. Unhurried early-morning motion; the horizon stays level throughout.

Generate with this prompt →

With the same first frame, both push in toward the cabin. PixVerse V6 still keeps the full row of pines on the left and a wider expanse of the lake at the end, while Kling 3.0 gives the cabin a larger share of the frame at the end, pushing the pines on the left to the edge for a tighter composition. Both outputs are 1280×720, 5 seconds, with an audio track.

How to Choose by Scenario

  • Batch vertical short videos: Choose PixVerse V6. For text-to-video, select 9:16, 3:4, or 2:3 directly, with no need to crop from landscape.
  • 4K delivery: Choose Kling 3.0, up to 4K, $2.395 for 5 seconds.
  • First-and-last-frame control: Choose Kling 3.0 image-to-video, which accepts 1–2 images and lets you lock the ending frame with a last frame.
  • Series-style content: Choose PixVerse V6. The five presets—anime, 3D animation, clay, comic, and cyberpunk—switch the rendering texture directly.
  • 1-second action test: Choose PixVerse V6, with a minimum of 1 second; Kling 3.0 starts at 3 seconds.
  • Complex long prompts: Choose Kling 3.0 at 5,000 characters; PixVerse V6 is 2,048 bytes.
  • Multiple placements from one prompt: Choose PixVerse V6 text-to-video and change aspect_ratio to produce 21:9, 1:1, and 9:16 versions without rewriting the prompt.

How Much Does Switching Cost?

Both are asynchronous tasks: after submission you get a taskId, then poll or wait for a callback, and the result is in output[0].url. Changing model switches models; the image field name for image-to-video differs, and that is the only structural change needed.

{"model": "pixverse-v6/image-to-video",
 "input": {"image_url": "https://your-cdn/frame.jpg", "prompt": "...", "duration": 5, "resolution": "720p", "generate_audio": true}}

{"model": "kling-3.0/image-to-video",
 "input": {"image_urls": ["https://your-cdn/frame.jpg"], "prompt": "...", "duration": 5, "resolution": "720p"}}

PixVerse V6 uses the string image_url, and image-to-video has no aspect_ratio; Kling 3.0 uses the array image_urls, with a minimum duration of 3 seconds. Handle these two differences before integration, and the remaining parameters can be reused.

If your existing code already runs Kling 3.0, migrating to PixVerse V6 only requires changing the image parameter from an array to a string and removing aspect_ratio from the i2v request. For the reverse migration, raise duration to 3 seconds or more, then wrap image_url back into an array. The callback URL, authentication headers, and taskId polling logic do not need to change.

FAQ

Do both models support text-to-video and image-to-video? Yes. Each has separate text-to-video and image-to-video model IDs, and pricing and specifications are consistent within the same route.

Which one supports 4K? Kling 3.0 supports 4K; PixVerse V6 tops out at 1080p.

Which one can generate 1-second videos? PixVerse V6, with a duration range of 1–15 seconds; Kling 3.0 is 3–15 seconds.

Can image-to-video accept two images? Kling 3.0 can, with a first frame plus an optional last frame; PixVerse V6 accepts one first frame.

How big is the price difference? For a 5-second 720p silent clip, PixVerse V6 costs $0.3225 and Kling 3.0 costs $0.50; 1080p silent clips cost $0.645 on both. When choosing, calculate the number of generations and resolution together; looking only at the per-second figure can easily miss the audio and 4K surcharges.
