E-commerce Product Images with Character Consistency and Local Inpainting

This entry demonstrates the image-to-image editing form of ideogram-v3-character/edit: using a source image that already contains a model and a product as a visual anchor, then locking the face, hairstyle, and clothing via a reference image of the same character, and using a mask to constrain the repaint region, so that the scene and lighting can be replaced while keeping the person consistent, producing a texture close to that of an e-commerce hero image. The input structure has three layers: image_url is the source image to be edited, mask_url is the repaint-region mask with the same aspect ratio as the source image, reference_image_urls accepts only one character reference image; prompt describes the target picture (scene, pose, light, product placement), style and rendering_speed control the style direction and detail level, and seed is used for reproduction. The aspect ratios of all three must be identical; this is a hard constraint of this pipeline. Applicable scenarios include: multi-scene product extension images for the same model, serialized social media images, and marketing assets that need to preserve the person's appearance while only changing the background and lighting. Note that character consistency is not absolute; complex poses and expressions may still deviate, and it is recommended to use source and reference images with clear faces, even lighting, and little occlusion.
